"405" IS QUICK BUT REWARDING
Looking for a quick pick-me-up? Check out
"405", a 2 1/2-minute movie. "405"
is the story of a driver who finds himself on the 405
freeway in the Los Angeles area. The
freeway is empty and soon, he discovers why --
a jet airplane is landing behind him.
The movie was created by two visual effects
artists, Bruce Branit and Jeremy
Hunt. They made it in their spare time, working nights and
weekends. They used three computers, the
fastest of which was running at a
mere 500 megahertz.
The two received a Pixie Award for Best
Directors. Pixies are regarded as
the Academy Awards of online entertainment. You can view
